L/Arden seismic equipment rails are made of heavy gauge galvanized steel, unitized construction with integral base plate, and continuous welded corner seams. Internally reinforced to conform with load bearing factors and seismic Category D, use group III, importance factor 1.5 of the IBC-2000. Rail access panels allow for thru bolting of equipment to rail and thru structure to meet seismic restraint requirements under the most severe conditions. The optional raised access panel permits future adjustments without interfering with the roofing membrane.
L. Arden can design and engineer specific rails and curbs to meet Seismic and uplift conditions as per your project and code requirements. Designs and calculations are performed by a Licensed Professional Engineer with years of experience in Seismic control and anchoring methods of HVAC equipment. This Seismic rail is only to showcase the standard and optional features that can be incorporated into our Seismic rail. Since not all applications are the same, it is strongly recommended that each case be designed by a Professional Engineer in order to meet the Seismic requirements specified for your project. All calculations and designs will be submitted signed and stamped, upon request.
